Microsoft Reveals Windows 8.1 Details At MWC

Microsoft today revealed some interesting things about windows 8.1 its first major update at Mobile World Congress(MWC), Barcelona.

Joe Belfiore (manager for Windows Phone Program Management at Microsoft) who looks after the company’s phones, tablets, and PCs revealed the update will be available this spring.

Windows 8.1 will mainly target mouse and keyboard users which it failed to do in previous version.Windows 8.1 will Focus On Non-Touch.But don’t call this a recall of touch: “None of the work we are doing has a negative effect on the touch experience at all,” Belfiore added. “We love touch.”

According to these alleged pics the phone will get a bigger screen than its predecessor .It is also much slimmer and sexier and has a big round home button in the middle.It’s just like a hybrid between the iPod-Touch and the iPad Air.

Sony Quits PC Business to focus on Mobiles

Electronics giant Sony corp. will sell its PC and laptop arm to a local Japanese investment firm.while announcing its financial results for Q3 2013, It comes to a decision of selling it’s VAIO brand to Japan Industrial Partners (JIP) and has decided to focus on smartphones and tablets.The deal will be set by the end of March 2014.

Although the company has significant profit improvements from increased sales in its mobile arm,it faced a net loss of ¥110 billion ($1.1 billion) for the year to the end of March.Sony introduced VAIO into the PC market in 1996.The Company is also planning to cut a total of 5,000 jobs worldwide (1,500 in Japan and 3,500 overseas) by the end of the 2014.The new PC company is looking to that around 300 Sony employees in design, development manufacturing and sales departments.

Nokia X Budget Android smartphone Live Images Leaked

Nokia’s much awaited and long rumored Android budget smartphone live images has been leaked. Codenamed Normandy the phone’s design and major specs spread viral over the Internet.According to Yahoo news EVLeaks a popular technology-focused Twitter account, has posted few more features of the phone on its Twitter account.

The phone is rumored to be announced at MWC(Mobile World Congress) 2014 event held in Barcelona starting from 24 February. But the specs and design got leaked in before-hand.

According to Sources the smartphone will come with a a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 mobile processor,Adreno 302 GPU and 512 MB RAM.It will be packed with Android 4.4(Kit-Kat) OS.
